Escorial, Literal translation. "Trash" "The Dump".
Before leaving for this missions trip I told god I didn't care where he sent me as long as it wasn't Mexico because everyone goes to Mexico to help, why isn't it fixed yet?
He opened my eyes, Humbled my heart, and this summer ill be going back down with a friend for three weeks as an intern, to build relationships with the kids and god through soccer outreach, dramas, and just showing them love.
Some of these people live in dumps, literally a dump where the few people throw their garbage, when they don't throw it in the street, and yet they smile every single day, they laugh and enjoy life so much with so little.

I was in Mexico back in February, and felt the same way. It's amazing how simple life is there, and yet still they find happiness and satisfaction in life. A good lesson for us Americans.
Didn't it make you feel rich? I felt so wealthy it made me feel guilty, and my family isn't wealthy by American standards.
I'm glad you're doing this. You should be so proud of yourself.
Great Job Joey! We want to steal a couple of your pictures - they are really good. So, you should schedule a time to meet with Dave & Janelle about that Internship!
Keep up the good work!!!!
